Isar Aerospace, based in Ottobrunn near Munich, develops and builds launch vehicles for the transportation of small and medium-sized satellites and satellite constellations into orbit around the earth. The company was founded in 2018 as a spin-off of the Technical University of Munich and has since established itself as a fully vertically integrated technology leader. With a total financing amount of EUR 350 million, Isar Aerospace is the most heavily capitalised independent new space company in Europe.

"Access to space is the key to innovation, technological development and security- today and will be even more so in the future. Isar Aerospace opens up access to space which is desperately needed by commercial, institutional and government customers.”

Daniel Metzler, co-founder and CEO of Isar Aerospace

"Isar Aerospace’s flights are already fully booked for years to come. This underlines the demand for cost-efficient access to orbit. We are very pleased to accompany Isar Aerospace as part of an international group of investors in its further upward trajectory."

Monika Steger, Managing Director of Bayern Kapital
