Marvel Fusion was founded in Munich in 2019 and is following an innovative path towards the commercialization of fusion energy. The company's unique technology is based on ultrashort pulse lasers and nanostructured fusion propellants. The company has demonstrated the fundamental physics of the technology in experiments over the past five years. Marvel Fusion is currently one of the most advanced fusion energy companies in the world and aims to build a fusion power plant in the 2030s. To further accelerate the validation of its approach, Marvel Fusion is partnering with Colorado State University to jointly build a $150 million fusion technology demonstration facility in Colorado by 2027. The company has raised 120 million euros in equity capital and 150 million euros in funding from public cooperation projects and employs around 70 people.
