Organizations working hand in hand: BayStartUP and Invest in Bavaria support Australian start-up Tiliter during its European launch
The Sydney-based start-up Tiliter, founded in 2017, is a global pioneer in the recognition of products without barcodes. With the help of artificial intelligence, Tiliter’s technology enables the precise identification of goods such as fruits, vegetables or nuts. Tiliter now chose the Bavarian capital Munich for its first branch office worldwide, wanting to gain a foothold in the European market.
With support from Bavaria: from Down Under to the Free State
Decisive reasons for the choice of location were the proximity to customers and a strong support base in the southern German state, not only from BayStartUP but also from Invest in Bavaria. Their cooperation program “Ois easy”, for which the start-up successfully applied, aims at young businesses from abroad who want to open a subsidiary in Bavaria and establish themselves in the German and European market in the long term.
As part of this program, Invest in Bavaria provides support upon arrival in Bavaria, for example through introductions to relevant networks, support with official formalities or visa matters, while program participants can also use co-working spaces of the publicly funded digital incubators in Bavaria free of charge. BayStartUP supports with intensive coaching – and access to capital. In the case of Tiliter, the BayStartUP investor network was able to find German investors who participated in the international financing round that the team recently closed.
