Munich Network goes Asia: “Robotics meets urban mobility” – The perfect match for Schaeffler Japan
Finding the most innovative start-ups in the field of robotics and urban mobility in the Asia-Pacific region was the aim of an initiative launched by Schaeffler Japan. Meanwhile, Schaeffler Germany had already successfully completed several projects together with Munich Network, a non-profit organization for promoting collaborative innovation. With decades of experience in industry, technology and innovation, Munich Network knows the needs of both collaboration partners and connects corporates with innovators from all over the world.
With start-up scouting in nine countries all over the Asia-Pacific region for Schaeffler, the Munich-based organization realized its most unique project so far. After a two-month screening process implemented by the Scouting & Sourcing experts of Munich Network, the Schaeffler Japan team chose 15 start-ups that pitched their groundbreaking solutions at the “Technology Partnering Asia-Pacific 2019” event.
“Our event was a total success – a large part was due to the excellent preparatory and organizational work by Munich Network. They managed to select high-quality start-ups for us that match our search fields very well. There were some promising companies that would perhaps never have been aware of us as a potential collaboration partner without the direct approach”, says Christian Weyhersmüller, R&D Strategy, Processes & Resources at Schaeffler Asia-Pacific.
