International Investor Conference “VentureCon Bavaria”
Valuable support is what the BayStartUP investor network provides in preparation for financing rounds, for example through financing coaching or organizing investor conferences such as “VentureCon Bavaria”. At the latest matchmaking event in Munich, founder Monja Mühling presented her vision for the logistics start-up Smartlane – and was subsequently able to close a major financing round.
The 30-year-old Monja Mühling is used being on stage and confidently let photos of trucks and information about her start-up Smartlane dance across the screen during her pitch at the international BayStartUP investor conference . She appeared in front of the audience twice – in the morning to win customers and in the afternoon to attract investors. The effort was worth it: After the presentation, more than 20 investors approached the team. The entrepreneur chose founder and investor Frank Thelen and his venture capital fund Freigeist Capital, who has now invested a high single-digit million sum in the company that wants to revolutionize the billion-dollar logistics industry with software based on artificial intelligence.
VentureCon Bavaria established itself as a top-class matchmaking event for Bavaria’s start-up ecosystem: More than 90 investors took the opportunity to get to know the most exciting tech and digital start-ups in Europe. In addition to German and international venture capital companies, strategic investors and public funding bodies, numerous representatives and members of the largest European business angel networks attended the event. More than 130 tech and digital start-ups had applied to pitch; the most exciting teams were invited by BayStartUP together with Invest in Bavaria and the Business Angels Europe Club.
Save the Date: The next “VentureCon Bavaria” will take place on 11 May 2020 – detailed information can be found at www.venturecon-bavaria.com
